During your 2-hour tour, explore the charming historic center with its pedestrianized streets, the 15th-century fortress, and the former royal residence of Cidadela Palace. Don't miss the millionaires' mansions along the coastline, the dramatic Boca do Inferno cliff formation, and the Casa das Historias Paula Rego museum showcasing contemporary Portuguese art.
Azenhas do Mar is one of Portugal's most picturesque villages, dramatically positioned on a cliff overlooking the Atlantic Ocean. The white village houses are built directly into the cliff face, creating a stunning visual against the blue sea. During your 90-minute visit, you'll discover its natural tidal pool at the base of the cliff, traditional Portuguese architecture, and panoramic ocean views that make it a photographer's paradise.
You'll have approximately 90 minutes to explore Azenhas do Mar, which is plenty of time to admire the picturesque whitewashed houses perched on the cliff, take stunning photos from the Miradouro das Azenhas do Mar viewpoint, and perhaps enjoy a quick meal or refreshment at one of the seaside restaurants overlooking the natural ocean pool.
