Booking your day trip is as easy as our one-way and return trips! On the landing page of the day trip you’d like to take, simply select the date, pick up time, and how many adults and children will be on the trip. It was a fantastic trip.

We were extremely satisfied with the quality of service we received from Day Trip. We had two Day Trip rides on August 31 from Athens to Lefkada and September 7 from Lefkada back to Athens. Both trips included stops at scenic sites in Greece. Both drivers were excellent and accommodating. However, we’d especially like to recognize Panos Peppas, who was our driver from Lefkada to Athens. Panos was incredibly nice & pleasant and delivered outstanding customer service, which included handling all of luggage, providing us with cold waters throughout the trip, providing us protein bars, providing us with printed materials on the Corinth Canal (one of scenic stops), looking up and providing us with terminal & gate info for our flight back home and providing us with a recipe for tzatziki.

The lake's natural beauty and historical significance have inspired artists and writers for centuries.

During your 3-hour visit to Arezzo, prioritize Piero della Francesca's stunning "Legend of the True Cross" fresco cycle in the Basilica di San Francesco, one of Renaissance art's masterpieces. Visit the sloping Piazza Grande surrounded by medieval towers and Vasari's loggia, which transforms into an antique market on the first Sunday of each month. Don't miss the Romanesque Pieve di Santa Maria with its 12th-century facade, the imposing Medici Fortress, and Casa Vasari, home of the Renaissance architect and painter who designed Florence's Uffizi Gallery.

Lake Trasimeno features three islands, with Isola Maggiore being the most accessible during your visit. Boats depart regularly from Castiglione del Lago and other lakeside towns, with round-trip journeys taking approximately 2 hours including exploration time. The car-free island offers scenic walking paths, lace-making traditions, and a 14th-century church where St. Francis once stayed. If island visits interest you, discuss adjusting your itinerary with your driver, as this would reduce time for other lakeside attractions.

Around Lake Trasimeno, sample lake fish specialties like persico reale (perch) and carpa regina (carp) prepared in traditional ways. Castiglione del Lago on Lake Trasimeno is approximately 120 kilometers (75 miles) southeast of Florence, with a driving time of about 1.5 hours. Arezzo is roughly 80 kilometers (50 miles) southeast of Florence, about 1 hour by car. The distance between Lake Trasimeno and Arezzo is approximately 60 kilometers (37 miles), adding about 45 minutes of driving time.
