From Amalfi to Sorrento by bus

The cheapest and most popular way to get from Amalfi to Sorrento is by bus. Sita Sud bus runs the entire length of the Amalfi Coast, and there's usually a bus leaving every hour. Typically, the bus trip will take about an hour and 10 minutes, but this can be much longer when traffic starts backing up. Tickets are cheap and cost between $2 and $8 depending on when you travel, so check the timetable.

The biggest downside is that the buses are often incredibly crowded during peak summer travel. If the bus is passing Amalfi with a full bus, you might not get a seat and be required to stand most of the way. Or even worse, might not be able to get on at all.
