Also, we could take along our groceries from one rented apartment in Florence to our rented apartment in Nice which saved us money. The driver was very professional and patient with us too. As of 2024, no direct trains travel between Italy and Nice. However, there are several daily indirect trains. Since France doesn't allow Italian trains to cross the border, you must transfer to the border town of Ventimiglia before taking a scenic 51-minute train ride to Nice Ville.
