The train doesn't go all the way from Lagos to Seville. You will need to take a 20-minute train ride to Portimao station and, from there, take the bus to Seville. The bus ride takes about four and a half hours, so the entirety of the trip will take about five hours if there is no lengthy stopover.

You should plan at least 2-3 full days in Seville so that you have time to visit the major landmarks, see a flamenco show or two, and sample the many varieties of tapas.

### From Lagos to Seville by train If you want to take the train from Lagos to Seville, you should note that only one train line runs this route and doesn't go the entire way. You must take a bus transfer with ALSA to get the rest of the way. The Comboios De Portugal has a train leaving the Lagos station every three hours, and the trip takes only twenty minutes to get to the Portimao station, with a ticket price between $5 and $7. From Portimao, there is one transfer and a one-and-a-half-hour stopover before you take the bus to Seville. The bus trip takes about four hours and 15 minutes with ALSA, and ticket prices are between $36 and $58.
