For the Daytrip Pool shared shuttle, we offer 3 ticket options when booking: Non-refundable, Flexible with cancellations 24-hours before departure, and Super-flexible with cancellations up to 15-minutes before departure. While you can cancel your booking for a full refund up to 24 hours in advance, changes requested under 36 hours are subject to driver availability, especially in the high season.
Simply choose your origin and destination via our homepage and enter your departure date and time. Browse and add sightseeing stops along the way by following the booking instructions provided on screen. It's a simple, easy, and fun way to book your next adventure! And if you don’t see your desired route on our website, you can request a custom trip. You can even book without knowing your exact pick-up or drop-off address - we let you add these later!
Each passenger is allowed one large bag (29" x 21" x 11" / 74 x 53 x 28 cm) and one small bag (22" x 14" x 9" / 56 x 36 x 23 cm). Luxury sedans can only accommodate 2 large bags. About Naples
With a population of nearly 1,000,000, Naples is the third-largest city in Italy after Rome and Milan. The regional capital of Campania, Naples was founded by Greeks in the first millennium BC, making it one of the oldest continuously inhabited urban areas in the world. This long history, combined with its status as a Mediterranean power and center for the arts, has shaped the city into the exciting metropolis it is today. The port has been abuzz for over 2000 years and remains the lifeblood of Naples’ economy, giving the city a very “working” atmosphere. Meanwhile, its historic center is a UNESCO World Heritage Site for the many palaces, churches, statues, and fountains that line its streets and plazas.
Then, of course, there’s Naples’ most famous invention: pizza. Seeking out the best pie is an adventure in itself. From L’Antica Pizzeria Da Michele, where Julia Roberts ate in Eat, Pray, Love, to fly-by-night street pizza carts, Naples is truly a feast for the senses. And pizza isn’t the only culinary delight. From fried street food (pizza included), to eggplant parmesan, and seafood filling everything from soup to pasta, Naples is one of Italy’s epicurean epicenters.

It’s a great budget option, but there’s no luggage area, no air conditioning, and they’re often overcrowded, especially in the summer. For 4 euros more you can upgrade to the Campania Express, a special tourist line, which not only shaves 20 minutes off the trip, but has guaranteed seats, air conditioning, and luggage storage. Tickets can be purchased online at the EAV Campania website or at the Circumbesubiana ticket office. These trains run less frequently than the Circumvesuviana and the schedule depends on the season, so be sure to check the time tables in advance.

Things to do when you get to Naples
As the third-largest city in Italy, there’s no shortage of things to do when you get to Naples. If you didn’t stop to visit the ruins of Pompeii or Herculaneum, or hike Mt. Vesuvius, on your private transfer from Positano to Naples, those are all popular day trips. The city proper though is best known for 3 things: port, palaces, and pizza.
You can easily spend a day at the Piazza del Plebiscito, Naples’ main square. Surrounding this huge space are multiple palaces, including the Royal Palace, Palazzo Salerno, and Prefecture Palace, and the Basilica Royal. From here, you can set out to find more palaces, and historic churches like the Naples Cathedral or the Sam Domenico Maggiore.
The castle you can see from the Piazza del Plebiscito, is the iconic Castel Nuovo. Built in the 13th century, it’s been modified, updated, and remodeled over the years, and now has a Baroque triumphal arch as its entrance. It’s well worth taking a tour to see the interiors, and the view of the port from the ramparts is the best in the city.
Head southwest from the Piazza del Plebiscito and you’ll enter the district of Santa Lucia. This warren of narrow cobbled alleys is the perfect place to lose yourself in Neopolitan living. Originally a fishing settlement, it’s a great place to stop for some authentic seafood dishes.
Keep heading downhill in Santa Lucia, and you’ll finally reach Naples harbor. The basis of Naple’s economy, the harbor is split into a number of different ports, and is abuzz at all hours. During the day though, you’ll want to pay a visit to the Castel dell'Ovo. The oldest fortification still standing in Naples, there’s been some defensive structure standing here since the 6th century BC.
During your Naples explorations, be sure to sample as much pizza as possible. Restaurants in the city battle for the title of “Best Pizza in Naples”. L’Antica Pizzeria Da Michele is always popular, especially after Julia Roberts ate here in Eat, Pray, Love. But you also don’t want to miss a distinctly Neopolitan experience, keep your eyes peeled for street pizza carts, which fry their pies rather than bake them.

“My wife and I used mydaytrips in october 2021 three times. From naples airport to sorrento; from sorrento to amalfi; from amalfi back to naples.
All three drivers were on time and professional. the vehicles were clean and in good condition. The first one was pick up at the naples airport and the driver was on time and had a card with our name on it. the second ride and the third were both also excellent. the drivers called our arrival destination for us since we dont speak Italian to arrange our exact drop off spot and time.
the communication with myday trips was outstanding. one of our transfers, we had to keep changing the pick up time and mydaytrips was on top of it with their driver. the prices were competitive with other transfer services and in one case considerable lower. We recommend this company if you need a driver and transfer in Italy.”
“Our experience with Daytrip was great! We used it to get from Naples to Sorrento and Sorrento back to Naples. The drivers were on time and professional. The communications were clear. Thank you.”
“We had a great experience with 2 different drivers. We went from Naples to Sorrento with a 2 hour stop at Pompeii. Our driver Michele was incredibly friendly and acted as our own personal tour guide and answered all our questions. We also did a transfer from Sorrento back to Naples on our way out and had another great experience.”
“Excellent, safe, well spoken (English), and very interesting driver picked us up early and delivered us right on time, Piano di Sorrento to Naples train station. Price was good. Highly recommended.”
