Daytrip is a platform that connects you with local drivers who will transport you door-to-door, from one city to the next. We also give you the opportunity to explore sights/attractions along the way. We drive, you discover.
All Daytrip bookings are one way. If you need a return trip on a different date, simply book this as a separate one-way trip. For a same-day excursion, please request a custom trip. If you plan to stay more than a couple hours, we still recommend booking two one way trips so you're not paying a driver for waiting.
For Daytrip’s private service, you can cancel for a full refund up to 24 hours before departure. For the Daytrip Pool shared shuttle, we offer 3 ticket options when booking: Non-refundable, Flexible with cancellations 24-hours before departure, and Super-flexible with cancellations up to 15-minutes before departure. While you can cancel your booking for a full refund up to 24 hours in advance, changes requested under 36 hours are subject to driver availability, especially in the high season.
Simply choose your origin and destination via our homepage and enter your departure date and time. Browse and add sightseeing stops along the way by following the booking instructions provided on screen. It's a simple, easy, and fun way to book your next adventure! And if you don’t see your desired route on our website, you can request a custom trip. You can even book without knowing your exact pick-up or drop-off address - we let you add these later!
Each passenger is allowed one large bag (29" x 21" x 11" / 74 x 53 x 28 cm) and one small bag (22" x 14" x 9" / 56 x 36 x 23 cm). Luxury sedans can only accommodate 2 large bags. We always send the vehicle that is the best fit for you and your luggage, so make sure to select the actual amount of luggage you are traveling with when booking. If you have oversized luggage, or are unsure if your luggage will fit, contact us.
Everywhere except the USA, drivers will supply appropriate child seats (just let us know during booking). In the USA, certain states require you to supply your own child seats.

About La Paz
Truly find peace on your tropical vacation in La Paz on the Gulf of California. La Paz is Spanish for “peace” and is located on Mexico’s Baja California Sur. It is the largest city in the state and is the cultural and legislative capital.
Pearly white sands: the history of La Paz
Hernan Cortez and his ships of Spanish conquistadors landed on La Paz’s shores in the 1530s on an expedition for jewels, spices, and new land for Spain. They made contact on the shores with the Guaycura, the indigenous people of the La Paz area.
The Guaycura decorated their homes and ceremonial items with large pearls and wore intricate pearl jewelry. This was exactly what the Spanish were looking for, and they began invasions on the Guaycura. For about 50 years, control of La Paz’s shores bounced between warring factions until the Spanish succeeded in over-consuming the oysters to the point of near extinction.
The Spanish had won control of Baja California Sur, but La Paz didn’t become a major city until 1829 when it became the state capital. Major industries included agriculture, mining, fishing, and pearl farming after the return of oyster populations.
La Paz in the present
La Paz is known today for its glorious sunsets, bright turquoise waters, and of course, pearls. It has all the beachfront promenades and resort-style amenities of a typical Mexican vacation town, but with all the convenience of a major city. The Bay of La Paz has white sand beaches and is a short distance from tropical islands. The perfect vacation destination!
From Los Cabos Airport to La Paz: travel tips
Elevate your travel day from good to great: these travel tips will keep you connected and comfortable during your Los Cabos Airport to La Paz transfer!
Investigate your internet options before your vacation
In today’s connected world, being even a few hours without the internet can feel like an eternity. Although the Los Cabos Airport has free wifi, anything can happen. Ask your phone service provider before your trip about their pricing and options for foreign travel. Sometimes, purchasing a temporary SIM card at the airport is cheaper than what your provider offers.
When you book a Daytrip airport transfer, your driver will have a sign at the arrivals gate with your name on it. This means one less thing to worry about when the plane lands if you don’t have immediate internet access. Travel made easy!
Have a change of clothes in your carry-on
Sometimes the difference between having a good and bad travel day is your outfit. Pack a second, comfortable outfit in your carry-on to change clothes in case something spills on you during the flight or you realize you hate wearing jeans while sitting on a plane for hours.
How to get from Los Cabos Airport to La Paz
No one wants to start scrambling for a taxi or bus after a long flight, especially for a 2.5-hour trip to another city. For your transfer from Los Cabos Airport to La Paz, book your transportation ahead of time and decide if you want a private car or shuttle bus.
Daytrip’s private drivers from Los Cabos Airport to La Paz
A private driver will meet you at the airport arrivals gate and provide door-to-door service to your hotel in La Paz. This option is the fastest and perfect for families. Travel in privacy without having to wait for other passengers. Daytrip drivers are local and English-speaking, can accommodate pets, provide children’s car seats, and transport handicapped individuals. Prices start at $51 per passenger.
Shuttle buses from Los Cabos Airport to La Paz
Your shuttle bus experience will depend on many factors: the size of the shuttle bus, the number of drop-offs, and the waiting time at the airport. Shuttle bus operators wait until the bus is full before departing, so you may be waiting around at the airport until your bus is at capacity.
Once you arrive in La Paz, your shuttle bus will most likely drop everyone off at a central point, after which you will need to find transportation to your hotel. Some shuttle buses will take you straight to your hotel, but then you are waiting for other passengers to get dropped off first at their hotels.
Carefully read the terms for your shuttle bus before booking to ensure you are fully informed for the day of your transfer. Prices depend on the company and range from $40 to $100 per seat.
Things to do when you get to La Paz
First things first: you’ll need to unpack your bags and get settled after your transfer from Los Cabos Airport to La Paz. Once you’re ready to get out in nature, sunscreen and water are a must. La Paz is the ideal destination for nature lovers: snorkel with unique marine life, take a boat to secluded islands, or explore caves on hiking trails. With so many great options, the hardest question will be: what’s next?
Take a boat to Espiritu Santo National Park
Espiritu Santo National Park is a pristine UNESCO World Heritage site and home to over 900 plants and animals, including some on the endangered species list. The caves and rugged cliffs on the shore are the natural habitats for sea lions, corals, fish, and crustaceans.
It is not far from La Paz’s shores. Boat tours typically last five to six hours, where you can snorkel in some of the most diverse waters in the world and even swim with sea lions.
Bask on Balandra Beach
Balandra Beach is an environmentally protected shoreline most known for its mushroom-shaped boulder and clear blue water. To preserve the delicate ecosystem, only 450 are allowed on the beach each day. In order to visit, you must choose from two time slots: in the morning from 8 AM to 12 PM or in the afternoon from 1 PM to 5 PM.
In order to make the cutoff, arrive at the beach 30 minutes before your time slot. You cannot register ahead of time, so you’ll be in a line of cars at the gate until they reach the daily quota.
Go hiking at Cerro de la Calavera
For unbeatable views of the sunset as far as the eye can see, you may have to work for it! Cerra de la Calavera (“Skull Hill”) is a trail with arches, caves, and natural rock formations along the edges of the cliffs that have been carved out by the wind, sand, and water over time. Its ominous name comes from the rocks’ resemblance to the eye sockets and nasal passages in skulls.
What is the best time to visit La Paz
The dry season! The tropics have two seasons: dry and rainy. During the dry season (November through April), the weather is the best: warm but not oppressively humid. Long days and plenty of sunshine are perfect for basking on the beach, snorkeling, sailing, and taking hikes.
The rainy season is a much different story. From May to October, La Paz experiences heavy rainfall and strong winds. These storms are important for maintaining La Paz’s beautiful tropical environment; however, flights and excursions may be canceled or delayed due to dangerous weather conditions.
Los Cabos International Airport에서 La Paz까지 여행에 대한 질문과 답변
A private car is the fastest way to travel, as shuttle buses are larger and slower on highways. Shuttle bus operators may also have to wait for more passengers at the airport before departing. The wait time is usually less than an hour, but every minute counts on your vacation.
For visitors, it is easiest to take a shuttle bus or hire a driver to take you to La Paz. If you are renting a car, follow Highway 1D to Las Palmas, then change to Highway 19. It will lead you right to La Paz.
$40 to $250. Prices vary based on the type of transportation (shuttle bus or private transfer) and if you booked ahead of time or at the airport. Order online with Daytrip for peace of mind, 24/7 customer support, and seats starting at $51.
Yes. Violent crime on visitors is very rare in La Paz. The worst crime you can expect is pickpocketing in crowded areas around restaurants and bars. Keep your belongings close, do not carry large amounts of cash, and leave the expensive jewelry at home.
125 miles (200 km). This distance takes 2.5 to 3.5 hours to drive across depending on traffic conditions, road closures, and if you are in a bus or car. The highways for this route are well-maintained and traveled often.
Booking a private driver before your flight is the easiest way to travel. Your driver will meet you at the arrivals gate, you won’t need to negotiate prices among throngs of airport taxi drivers, and you won’t have to withdraw cash right away.

“Gonzalo from daytrip was our driver and he was absolutely amazing. He went over and beyond trying to locate us as our service wasn't so good on our phones. He patiently awaited our arrival to the lobby so he could take us from Tulum Dreams Resort to our other hotel in cancun an hour and a half away near the airport prior to our departure flight home. He was polite, respectful and kind. Made sure we were comfortable during our long ride. Fast and to the point. I recommend this company as finding a one way ride from Tulum to Cancun isn't easy or cheap and this company provides a great service for a great price. I will definitely be using them again whenever I'm in the Cancun/Tulum area. Thank you DayTrip and Gonzola.”
“We were picked up by Marianna to drive us from Heraklion to Chania. The weather was terrible & due to this Marianna arrived a few minutes late. She contacted me to advise of this. Marianna lives in Chana and she made our trip very interesting by informing us of local things to do and see in Chania. Marianna is a safe driver and we all felt comfortable with the speed she drove at and how good her driving was in heavy rain. She is a lovely person with fluent English. We highly recommend Daytrips and if you are in Heraklion or Chania please make sure you ask for Marianna.”
“Used the service to go from Luxor to Hurghada, Egypt. Ahmed H was our driver and he was perfect. The car was new, clean, he had water and snacks for us, and accommodated our stops. Great service from him and would recommend it.”
“Used Daytrip for two rides in Mexico, which were both great. So comfortable, and we arrived at each of our destinations at a great time. Both were incredible drivers, and we felt so safe. One of our drivers, Miguel, also played the best music! Will definitely use Daytrip on our next trip to Mexico.”
