Our driver Filipe was professional, on time, provided water and snacks for the drive, and even had a treat from one of our stops waiting for us in the car after a stop. ""Paulo B was our driver on our trip from Porto to Salamanca and the return trip from Salamanca to Porto the next day. The experience was flawless and I was very satisfied with everything. We had a very limited time on our international trip and Salamanca was a must see for us and believe me when I say without your company we would not have been able to do it. We looked into public transportation and it would have taken multiple trains and buses to get from one city to the other and also would have taken 2 to 3 times longer.
Paulo was an exceptional driver and I'm so happy he was assigned to us. He was friendly, professional, informative, communicative and a very safe driver. He answered our questions and acted as tour guide whenever we wanted information, and also sensed when at times during the journey we just needed to rest and sleep. I would highly recommend any of my friends/family to use Daytrip and specifically Paulo if they were ever in Portugal. "To answer your question, our driver Joao M. who took us from Madrid to Porto was very punctual, courteous, well dressed/groomed and respectful. He also kindly helped us with our luggage on and off the car.
The car itself was very clean and comfortable, we had absolutely no problems at all. Also, he was very accommodating as we decided to change one of our stops. He had no problem with that and in fact given his command of English is pretty good, he was able to give us some history of various places etc.
Joao was actually very helpful because when we arrived in Porto, our Airbnb accommodation was double booked and it was late evening and accommodation in Porto was difficult to obtain. We were almost stranded and the language was also a problem. He very kindly rang around and found us a Hotel to stay just down the road from where we had initially booked. He dropped us there and we cannot thank him enough and are ever so grateful for his kindness. A very lovely young gentleman indeed. Please pass on our special thanks and gratitude to him for us and we wish him and his family all the very best.
