"Our driver (Samir) was great, he communicated well verbally with us and via Whatsapp texted updates as he approached for initial pickup, followed with text communication at each of our stops when picking up again. Samir made our travel and stops worry free. He exemplified incredible customer service to tourist guests. Highly recommended for anyone traveling. The support team behind the scenes was superb as we slightly changed the pickup location and time once our cruise ship docked the evening before into it's precise location, Although they notified that changes within 36 hours cannot always be met, they contacted our driver, and his schedule made it happen perfectly. A great team effort to make the journey relaxing. Thank you. "

"Excellent in every way. The stop in Trogir, which was the main reason for choosing the car over the bus, was well worth it. Some of the fineset carving (in the Cathedral) we have ever seen.A clean smooth ride and a driver with good English. "

"We had a really pleasant trip with Jakov and enjoyed our stop in Šibenik. Jakov was good at communicating with us and shared a lot of information about Croatia with us. "Jakov drove us from Split to Zadar and took us back to Split after we did a history, food & wine tasting tour in Zadar. He made it really easy for us to find People’s Square in the pedestrian zone and he was there at the same agreed spot when we finished. He was very pleasant, spoke English like a native speaker, explained points of interest, drove safely and was very reliable and patient. We couldn’t ask for more. Would definitely recommend Jakov."

"Davor was a great driver and tour guide. He gave us information about the sights on our route and let us stop briefly to take photos. He also was a great help when we arrived at our accommodations and had trouble finding the apartment. He was able to call the owner for us because we did not have a phone to use locally. We would very much recommend him as a driver!"

"We were a bit nervous about our very first trip with DayTrip, but all our worries were put to rest when we met up with our driver, Balint. He was on time, courteous, charming, easy to chat with and a safe driver. We had a stop along the way from Split to Zadar, in Primosten, and Balint joined us in exploring the charming town. Afterwards, at his suggestion, he drove us up to the Statue of Our Lady of Loreto where we enjoyed the magnificent view over the sea and the town of Primosten. Any expectations we had for this day trip were exceeded."

"I honestly can't say enough good things about our Daytrip experience! Ivan arrived on time, helped us with our luggage and had cold water waiting for us. His English was very good and he pointed out points of interest along the route. The van was clean and air conditioned. Our destination hotel was in the old city section of Zadar and Ivan did a great job getting a close to the hotel as possible. I will definitely recommend Daytrip to other travelers! "

"We really liked the service of Daytrippers and the option of stopping at a sightseeing sight. I think the service fits a really good need. Slavan was very professional, kind, and helpful. A very good driver. Car was superb and clean. There was a misunderstanding of the pick-up place, but he handled it with patience. I think our pick up place hadn’t been well researched on your end. We were staying in the area of Diocletian’s palace. Door to door pick up is not allowed ie, cars are only allowed outside the palace area, Fortunately the apartment manager, took Slavan’s call and was able to direct us to where Slavan was able to park. It was only a matter of 15 minutes. I also had sent an email stating we would like to enter the Krka national park at a certain entrance, and that apparently had not been relayed to Slavan. Again, it turned out OK, in fact better. Slavan helped us naviagate in the different entrance and all worked out well. I would definitely use your service again, but would be more careful to identify/confirm pick up areas and sights."

He made sure we were advised of what we could see, where we could eat and his friendly banter throughout the long car ride was very entertaining. "Our trip from Split to Zadar was excellent. Sime was right on time, he was very courteous, he helped us with our luggage all the way from our apartment in the inner city to the parking lot on the outskirts, he provided us with bottles of water & a snack, he spoke good English, and he took the scenic route at no extra cost even though it took a half hour longer. I would be delighted to have him as our driver again in the future. "

Less than two hours by car! The only other option is to ride on a bus, which takes around 3.5 hours or more to reach Zadar. For the fastest transfer, hire a private driver instead of a rental car.

You can’t beat the convenience and simplicity of hiring a driver for your transfer. Your driver will meet you at your address in Split and take you to all the sightseeing stops you want to visit before arriving safely in Zadar.

By bus or private car! The ferry, train, and flight infrastructure between Split and Zadar is lacking and an inefficient way to travel in this region. To drive in Croatia, you will need an international driver’s license. Alternatively, take the bus or hire a private car service.

Driving is the fastest way to travel from Split to Zadar. This drive can be done in less than 2 hours and covers a distance of 98 miles (159 km). When in Croatia, make sure you have an international driver’s license or hire a local driver.

Of course! Zadar is a classic Mediterranean city with warm shores and friendly people. It is a short distance from several national parks as well. Take a boat tour, lounge on the beach, go hiking, and try all the local cuisine!

That’s all up to you! Zadar is far smaller and more intimate than Split. If you are looking for a quieter beachfront that still has the amenities of a large city (like an international airport!), Zadar is an excellent option.
