The Korean Folk Village
Discover Korean Folk Village, where over 260 traditional houses create an authentic late Joseon Dynasty replica across 245 acres, serving as Korea's premier historical drama filming location since 1974. Famous dramas filmed here include Jewel in the Palace, Moon Embracing the Sun, My Love from the Star, Sungkyunkwan Scandal, Queen Seondeok, Six Flying Dragons, plus movies like Masquerade and Face Reader Mb. Four cultural performances happen twice daily: Nong-ak play, tightrope play, horseback martial arts, and traditional weddings. Walk through designated photo zones with drama star standees and billboards—Lee Young-ae's Jewel in the Palace costumes display in exhibits. Staff members dress as Joseon Dynasty characters, from governors to kumiho (nine-tailed fox legends). Real houses relocated from various provinces showcase regional architectural styles—thatched-roof commoner homes to tile-roofed yangban mansions.
