We loved Jimmy L, B.
Our original plans to visit Mt. St. Michel (planned for several months through Viator) were cancelled suddenly when an email notified us that Viator could not locate a driver.
Visiting the site was one of the reasons for coming to France!
We were already on a train headed to Rennes, and I had only 48 hours to find replacement transportation.
I found DayTrip on the Internet and requested a ride TO Mt.St.Michel, and DayTrip paired us with Jimmy L.B.
Jimmy L.B. was polite, prompt, and willing to try English.
As we drove to the Abbey, he also discovered that we did not really have a return ride home.
He was a bit shocked.
I am sure he was confused as to why two non-French speaking, older American adults would take such a risk without a way home.
I did mention UBER or a bus, but he scoffed.
Several minutes later, he had rearranged his schedule, and told us he was available to take us back to Rennes after we toured the Abbey.
Here is what we learned from this experience.
1. Mt. St. Michel is worth the risk and the effort to visit.
2. Team DayTrip makes such an adventure possible, and we will recommend your company to others.
3. But, most important, Jimmy L. B. proved to be a guardian angel for us. His concern for us, and our safety, was notable.
We could not have been more protected.

Frederic C was outstanding - one of the best drivers we have used through DayTrip.
It seems Mont St Michel is one of his specialties, so he has a pass that allowed him to drop us right near the shuttle out to the Abbey.
He also gave us some great advice and had a printed pamphlet for us with info about Mont St Michel.
In Addition, he came into the Rennes railway station to greet us and on our return trip, once again came into the station to make sure we got to the correct platform for our train back to Paris.
He really went above and beyond. Would highly recommend him to anyone looking for a transfer in Normandie and Brittany.
