Yumemigasaki Zoological Park is located in the Saiwai District of Kawasaki City and backs up to a public park. This modestly-sized zoo is free to the public and includes a petting zoo for interactive learning with the animals. Over 50 species live at the zoo at any given time, including ring-tailed lemurs, squirrel monkeys, donkeys, zebras, and the most popular enclosure of all, red pandas. The zoo is open from 9:00 AM to 4:00 PM and the best time of day to visit is in the morning when the animals are the most active before the highest heat of the day. Yumemigasaki Zoo also has playgrounds for children and areas to purchase snacks and meals, making it convenient for a lunch out with the family or a midday stop during a road trip.
