Founded in the late 17th century, Stromfors Iron Works smelted raw ore into pig iron and then processed this into finished products like iron bars, nails, and tools that were used to develop Ruotsinpyhtää's industry and infrastructure. Walk through the museum and workshops housed in the traditional red buildings to uncover the site's history and legacy. Walk around the lake to take a moment to appreciate the now idyllic scene, grab a bite ate the restaurant or cafe, or (of course) have a steam in the sauna.
