Skikda is a popular resort destination, renowned for its pleasant climate and white sandy beaches, including Plage Remila, Plage de Oued Lekbir, and Plage d'el marsa. Architecture fanatics will want to make a bee-line for Skikda’s City Hall, unique neo-Moorish project designed by Le Corbusier. The architectural pioneer also designed the nearby railway station, incorporating local design elements into his modernist vision. There are also a few museums to keep you busy on a rainy day, including the small but interesting Skikda Museum across from the City Hall, and the lavish Palais Meriem Azza house museum.
