Netherlands Open Air Museum
Re-enactors bring Dutch folk-history to life by practice traditional crafts in historic buildings collected from around the Netherlands.
Sobre
Founded in 1912, the Netherlands Open Air Museum moved historic buildings from around the country to its 44 hectare park. Inside the different buildings, visitors will see all the relevant accoutrements, from traditional furniture to tools. Many are inhabited by re-enactors who demonstrate the old way of life, whether that be paper-production, or cooking soup. The museum even has its own tram-line, with classic electric trams from Amsterdam, Rotterdam, The Hague, and a replica of an Arnhem tram from 1929, which was constructed for the museum.
