Addo Elephant National Park

This sprawling nature reserve is home to all of South Africa’s ‘Big 7’.

About

One of the largest national reserves in South Africa, the Addo Elephant Park is home to one of the world’s densest populations of African elephants. Nearly 550 of these endangered animals roam through the park, which is the only place that’s home to all of South Africa’s ‘Big 7’ - elephant, rhino, lion, buffalo, leopard, southern right whale, and great white shark. The park offers visitors a variety of ways to see the wildlife, from a self-driven safari to a watering hole with both underground hide and lookout platforms. There are also guided game drives at sunrise, sunset, and at night, which offer a chance to see some of the park’s nocturnal residents. For those who live on the wild side, the park offers four accommodation options for overnight stays. For more information, please visit www.sanparks.org/parks/addo
